Exploring Parking Infrastructure
addison king - 2025
In many urban high schools, parking inefficiencies reflect deeper infrastructural challenges, often causing stress and lost time for faculty navigating large, complex lots. My project explores how an IoT-based smart parking system, integrated with a user-friendly web app, can improve this experience by providing real-time spot availability and intuitive lot navigation. Grounded in research on smart campuses and sustainable design, the system aims to reduce daily friction for teachers while addressing broader concerns like user satisfaction, time management, and environmental impact. Through field surveys and technical exploration, this study evaluates the feasibility and benefits of scalable, cost-effective parking solutions tailored to educational environments.
